G_rizen’s Week 1 GPP Plays

 

Welcome to week 1 of the NFL season.   Each week I will list a few players at each position that are FanDuel GPP plays that I like.   I will also highlight the plays that I think are chalk.

QB 

Chalk:   Wilson, Ryan, Rodgers, Ben

Marcus Mariota:  Expected Shootout and a great game script pair with Walker and come back with a Raider WR.

Carson Palmer: Lions were terrible against the pass last season and Fitz should tear them up inside

Cam Newton:  If we can get the Cam of 2015 I would be all over this.  The Niners were the worst def last year even though I do expect improvement.  Cam and Panthers should put up 30+  pair him with Olsen or Benjamin.

 

 

RB

 Chalk:   Bell, DJ and McCoy

 Shady McCoy:  I know I have him listed as chalk but I think the top 2 will be highly owned in all contests. Shady is a great pivot.

Rob Kelley:   Kelley is under-priced and playing a Wash team that they gained an avg of 6.8 ypc last season in their 2 match-ups.

Todd Gurley:    Gurley should be under-owned in a great match-up that should have the Rams in a positive game script

 

 

WR

 Chalk:  Fitz, Julio, Wright, Nelson, Baldwin

 TY Hilton:   Ty is a great pivot play and will be highly under owned in a game that the colts will have to throw to stay in the game.  Tolzien’s short passing style fits TY perfectly.

Terrell Pryor:   We expect Pryor to be the main target for Cousins this season and in a game that has a high O/U I would expect to see a TD or even 2.

Paul Richardson:  In a game we all expect a ton of points I can see Richardson getting 7-10 targets opposite Baldwin and should bring in a TD against a poor GB pass defense.

Pierre Garcon:  Garcon has had plenty of success in a Kyle Shanahan offense avg almost 10 targets per game.  SF should be playing catch up most of the day so I expect the same results today.

Cooper or Crabtree: In a game with a high O/U both of these guys should get plenty of action.  The titans have 4 new starters in the secondary so I expect some sloppy play with one of these guys if not both getting multiple scores.

 

 

TE

 

Chalk:  Ertz

 Delanie Walker: Walker and Mariota will find the end zone today and hopefully we see the big fella rumbling for a 50 yard plus score

Tyler Eifert:   Eifert scored a TD in both games last year against the Ravens so I do not expect that trend to change today.

Kyle Rudolph:   Rudolph lead all TE in Red Zone targets last season and should see 7-10 targets and TD.
